MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A. and Generation Wealth at Berlinale Panorama

Berlinale have announced their full Panorama program and it includes our Sundance stunners MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A. and Generation Wealth. The two films join That Summer which was previously announced as part of Panorama following the world premiere at Telluride.

MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A. is drawn from a cache of personal tapes shot by Maya and her closest friends over the last 22 years, capturing her remarkable journey from immigrant teenager in London, to the international popstar M.I.A.

Generation Wealth is the fruition of a twenty-five-year documentary inquiry into what has been called “the influence of affluence”. In the era when Donald Trump becomes president, Lauren Greenfield's film is a searing exploration of the aspiration for wealth.

The Beales of Grey Gardens, Big Edie and Little Edie take centre stage in 'That Summer'. The film uncovers footage lost for decades shot by Andy Warhol, Peter Beard and the socialite sister of Jackie Onassis, Lee Radziwill.
