Five Dogwoof films at Melbourne International Film Festival

Melbourne International Film Festival runs from 28 July - 14 August and will feature 5 Dogwoof films. Kate Plays Christine, Life, Animated, LoveTrue, Sour Grapes and Weiner will screen at MIFF 2016 - learn more about the films and watch trailers below.


Kate Plays Christine

Winner of the Sundance Special Jury Award for writing, Kate Plays Christine is a one of a kind documentary thriller. Director Robert Greene will be attending the festival to present Q&A sessions following the screenings.


Life, Animated

Life, Animated is the moving new film from Academy Award winning director Roger Ross Williams who will attend the 2 August screening at the festival for a Q&A session.



LoveTrue is the stunning new film from visionary director Alma Har'el and executive produced by Shia LaBeouf. The film also features an original new score from Flying Lotus, MIFF marks the Australian premiere of the film.


Sour Grapes

Sour Grapes tells the often unbelievable tale of the one of the most impressive wine frauds in modern history. MIFF 2016 marks the Australian premiere of Sour Grapes which had its world premiere at Sheffield Doc/Fest.



Weiner is a political campaign documentary that has to be seen to be believed, with access to a political scandal like never before. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival 2016, Weiner continues to prove it is a festival favourite.
