Emmy-nominated MAPPLETHORPE: LOOK AT THE PICTURES by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, produced by Film Manufacturers, about legendary photographer Robert Mapplethorpe sold to HBO Latin America and BBC Imagine.
Sundance-winning LIFE ANIMATED by Roger Ross Williams sold to the BBC Storyville, Canal Plus Spain and DBS (Israel).
BBC Storyville also picked up Sundance title AUTHOR: THE JT LEROY STORY by Jeff Feuerzeig, along with Canal Plus Spain and Channel 8 (Israel), who also acquired Alma Har'el's (Bombay Beach) Karlovy Vary winner LOVETRUE - exec. produced by Shia LaBeouf.
Sundance-winning KATE PLAYS CHRISTINE directed by Robert Greene was sold to IndieLisboa (Portugal) and AMC Global for their feeds in MENA, Latin America and French speaking Europe. The genre-bending documentary about the life and death of Christine Chubbuck a Florida news anchor who committed suicide live on air in 1974.
Locarno 2016 title VERSUS: THE LIFE AND FILMS OF KEN LOACH by Louise Osmond about the life and work of legendary filmmaker and double Cannes Palme D’Or winner Ken Loach was acquired by RSI (Switzerland) and Canal Plus Spain.
New sales were made on Sundance title RICHARD LINKLATER: DREAM IS DESTINY by Louis Black and Karen Bernstein, this time to AVRO (The Netherlands) and RUV (Iceland). RUV also bought UNBRANDED, DREAMCATCHER, FRESH DRESSED, and SPEED SISTERS, while YLE picked up DREAMCATCHER and THE SHOW OF SHOWS.

Festival favourite SPEED SISTERS directed by Amber Fares is still selling well with the latest broadcast sales being to Imagination (MENA) and Czech TV.
New pre-sales have been secured on MISSION RUBBERMAN with CBC, RDI, Knowledge and VPRO joining further seven broadcasters who are already on board, while the controversial Beluga doc BORN TO BE FREE pre-sold to ZDF Arte, SVT and Channel 8 (Israel).
