Dogwoof have taken domestic and international rights to Jen Peedom's latest film, Mountain.
The doc is a collaboration with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and looks "at the troubled and triumphant history of our timeless fascination with mountains…a juxtaposition of image and music to explore the powerful force that mountains hold over the imagination of so many. From the Himalayas to Antarctica, Hawaii to Afghanistan, the canvas for MOUNTAIN is immense."
Peedom will cut both feature-length and IMAX versions of the doc, which is in production. Submarine and Dogwoof will handle domestic and worldwide sales for both versions and sales agents from the two companies are showing a reel to buyers during the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) this week.
Peedom also serves as Mountain‘s writer and producer. Jo-Anne McGowan is also producing and Mountains of the Mind author Robert Macfarlane will narrate.
Jennifer Peedom’s previous film, Sherpa, focuses on Mount Everest’s Sherpa community following the deadly April 2014 avalanche that killed 16 of its members. Discovery Channel and Discovery Networks International will air the film globally next year.
