The Fear of 13

A film by David Sington

A Death Row inmate petitions the court asking to be executed. As he goes on to tell his story,  it gradually becomes clear that nothing is quite what it seems. THE FEAR OF 13 is a stylistically daring experiment in storytelling that is part confessional and part performance, Nick, the sole protagonist, tells a tale with all the twists and turns of classic crime drama. A final shocking twist casts everything in a new light

Fresh Dressed

A film by Sacha Jenkins

With funky, fat-laced Adidas, Kangol hats, and Cazal glasses, a totally original look was born - Fresh- and it came from the black and brown side of town where another cultural force was revving up in the streets to take the world by storm. Fresh Dressed chronicles the attire that became associated with the increasing popularity of Hip-Hop in 1980's and 90's as well as the fashion trend's relation to violence and gangs. Featuring interviews with Kanye West, Pharrell, and Nas, among many others, Fresh Dressed explores the freedom of expression that would eventually take over the mainstream and become an important aspect of American culture and fashion.

Cartel Land

A film by Matthew Heineman

With unprecedented access, Cartel Land is a riveting, on-the-ground look at the journeys of two modern-day vigilante groups and their shared enemy – the murderous Mexican drug cartels. Featuring intense man-hunts, interrogations, and very real shootouts, Cartel Land is a front row seat into the dangerous world of drugs and death that the drug cartel's are so known for. At the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, Heineman received both the Directing Award and Special Jury Award for Cinematography in the U.S. Documentary competition.

Speed Sisters

A film by Amber Fares

The Speed Sisters are the first all-woman race car driving team in the Middle East. Grabbing headlines and turning heads at improvised tracks across the West Bank, these five women have sped their way into the heart of the gritty, male-dominated Palestinian street car-racing scene. Weaving together their lives on and off the track, SPEED SISTERS takes you on a surprising journey into the drive to go further and faster than anyone thought you could.

A film by Philip Baribeau

Based on the best-selling book by Ben Masters, Unbranded is the story of four friends who set out on an unprecedented 3,000-mile horseback journey through the most pristine back-country of the American West; from Mexico to Canada they rode mustangs across an almost continuous stretch of public lands, border to border. Ben Masters, Jonny Fitzsimons, Thomas Glover and Ben Thamer are recent graduates and they decide to delay their entry into the responsibilities of adulthood and instead embark on a grand adventure. The ride takes over five months through the harsh, rugged, but strikingly beautiful terrain of Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana and tests the men’s strength, courage, endurance, and friendship.
